Building works are complete at Denbighshire’s new primary school Ysgol Llanfair Dyffryn Clwyd, near Ruthin. The new bilingual Church in Wales school has been constructed on land within the village, after the existing school building had been deemed no longer fit for use. Initially designed in-house by Denbighshire County Council’s architectural team, AG|A were appointed by the successful Design and Build Contractor Wynne Construction to provide Architectural Services from technical design stage through to completion.

The new school caters for 120 pupils, providing five classrooms as well as an assembly hall, community room, staff facilities, sports pitch, multi-use games area and associated car parking. Soft landscaping, planting and fencing works are now underway, with the school due to open once offsite drainage works have been completed.
