We are proud signatories of the Placemaking Wales Charter, which has been developed by the Welsh Government and the Design Commission for Wales in collaboration with the Placemaking Wales Partnership to create inclusive, socially connected and vibrant communities.
The Charter outlines six placemaking principles that cover the range of considerations that contribute to establishing and maintaining good places:
- People and community
- Location
- Movement
- Mix of uses
- Public Realm
- Identity
By signing up to the charter, we are committed to supporting placemaking in all areas of our work and promoting the principles above in the planning and design and management of new and existing places.
