Ainsley Gommon Architects

Our landmark design providing 38 affordable apartments for Adra on the corner of Farrar Road and Deiniol Road (A5) in Bangor was recently completed before Easter and regenerates a neglected brownfield site close to Bangor Railway Station. Located on the site of Bangor City’s former social club, the development provides 23 two bedroom and 15 one bedroom apartments across four storeys, with a mix of 17 intermediate rental, 9 social rented and 12 market rental homes.

The project was highly collaborative and constructed using Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) and delivers “a high quality affordable housing development that will not only help to meet affordable housing demand in the area but also support the local economy and services.”

The scheme was built by Wynne Construction and the project team worked hard right through the pandemic to deliver the scheme to the desired quality on time and within budget.
