Construction works are progressing well at our extra care housing scheme for Grwp Cynefin. Providing an additional 35 new affordable apartment units for the elderly and vulnerable in the Denbighshire area. The proposed development sits in a prominent location within the Ruthin Town and Llanfwrog Conservation Area.

The new apartments comprising one and two bedrooms are flexible, adaptable, and meet the criteria for lifetime homes for older people and couples and those with supported living needs. A range of shared communal amenities for residence offering a wide range of independent living accommodation with support facilities to aid daily living. The shared accommodation will encourage social interaction and recreational activities.

The scheme is being built by Read Construction. The 3-storey building with a steel frame braced structure will be finished with brick, render and standing seam metal cladding. Due for completion in spring 2024.
