It was great to have the opportunity while in Newport recently, to revisit two projects completed for POBL Group.
We took advantage of a sunny day in November to see Ladyhill Housing and Treberth Crescent Apartments & Community Hub, which were completed in December 2024 and July 2022 respectively. Pleasing to see that both schemes are looking great, a credit to J.G Hale Construction who completed them for POBL Group.

The IHP4 grant funded Ladyhill development delivered 39 highly sustainable low carbon homes that embrace cutting-edge technology, featuring ground source heat pumps, solar PV panels, storage batteries, MVHR systems and EV charging points. The EPC A & SAP 100 rating ‘low energy’ homes were built using Sevenoaks Modular MMC panelised, pre-insulated timber frame construction & are all electric with zero on-site combustion and a clear path to net zero carbon future.

The Treberth Crescent Apartments & Community Hub development delivered 45 older person Apts, utilising land left over from the redevelopment of Newport’s 1940’s prefab homes over ten years ago. The proposed layout was influenced by the challenging topography of the site, existing easements crossing the site and densely planted greenery to the Southern boundary. Most of the building was constructed using offsite construction with J.G. Hale Construction’s own Trisowarm system, a low carbon timber frame wall panel system. Read more here
