Development Overview

The new Primary Care Resource Centre at Caia Park is located on the outskirts of Wrexham and provides a range of much needed health and community facilities under the umbrella of a single building. Together with Castlemead Developments, Ainsley Gommon worked with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board to provide the new facilities which included a GP Practice, Consulting Rooms and a dental practice on the ground floor. On the first floor a variety of administration spaces are provided for Midwives, District Nurses and Health Visitors as well as an office for the Caia Park Partnership, a charitable trust supporting the health and welfare of local people.

The Primary Care Resource Centre forms the fourth and final phase of the development of a Community Resource Campus providing a range of nursing, therapy and other practitioner services in pleasant surroundings. The new building has been carefully planned within the context of three adjoining community buildings creating a centralised landscape area with accessible parking. The Caia Park site is excellently located within an existing residential area, encouraging local residents to walk, cycle or use public transport to access the building.

The scheme received planning approval in August 2012 and was completed in November 2015.
